Course purpose
EBEC (Essential Business English Communication) is a program aimed at students and working professionals who need to improve their English language skills in a working environment in order to succeed in their careers. It provides you with all the practical skills you need to be able to understand and be understood in any business or social situation such as meetings, negotiations, job interviews or travelling.
This programme is a combination of Soft Skills and Business English. The course contents vary very much covering topics such as presentation skills, negotiation skills, English for finance, marketing, corporate culture, job interview skills among others. All modules have a mix of listening, reading, writing and speaking activities focused on real life situations.
In order to give the students a better understanding of the contents of the modules, students will be asked to take part in case studies or role-plays as part of the curriculum of the course.
Course structure
The course has two formats:
EBEC is aimed at professionals and business students who want to study on several times per week.
The course lasts for 52 h, is taught 2 or 3 times during weekdays in the evening
The minimum level to join EBEC is Pre-Intermediate.
EBEC EXPRESS is an intensive course aimed at working professionals and business students who cannot study during the week and prefer to do it at the weekends.
The course lasts 30h and is taught once a week on Saturday afternoon
The minimum level to join EBEC Express is Pre-Intermediate.
