Course purpose

This course provides students with a solid base in the important pronunciation skills necessary to be easily understood when speaking and to more easily understand what other people are saying as well as the foundation knowledge about the IELTS test. Only English is spoken in the classroom, 100% of the time, so candidates for this course should have a minimum pre-intermediate speaking and listening level in order to understand the teacher.

Course Content

50% of the course will cover the whole spectrum of pronunciation rules from correct consonant and vowel pronunciation to complex sentence stress and intonation. In class we will spend a great deal of time speaking and listening in pairs or as a group. During the course, each student will be reviewed by the teacher and also receive reviews from other students.

50% of the course will focus on 4 skills, especially on speaking and writing skills to prepare a solid foundation for students to join the higher level IELTS courses.

Course structure:

The course runs three times a week, 1.5hr each session.

Total time is 54hours (3 months)

The minimum level to join should be Pre intermediate
